Spring Skiing At Brian Head
Skiing
As part of our spring break, we took the family through Southern Utah with a stop at Brian Head ski resort. The resort is just east of Parowan, Utah (north of Cedar City). Our family has never skied the resorts of southern Utah. The conditions were great with a fresh batch of new snow. The resort had plenty of terrain to ski with trails that cater to a beginner to intermediate skier. My kids loved the runs and even got to spend some time in the terrain park. Brian Head also offers a sledding hill near one of the runs in the ski resort.
Lodging
We spent a couple of nights at Cedar Breaks Lodge and Spa which is only a couple of blocks away from the resort. Their accomodations were great for the family with rooms that can sleep up to 8 and units that have a kitchen for cooking if you choose. They have an indoor pool, hot tubs, game room, and spa for your enjoyment
Other Activites
The resort is close to the Cedar Breaks National Monument. The views of the snow covered cliffs is spectacular to behold. Many people take a hike on foot or snow shoe to explore this area of natural wonder. So there are plenty of other activities that your family can do besides skiing. Snowmobiling, sledding, hiking, just to name a few.
