JOIN US FOR AN EVENING OF SERVICE

Off The Couch is working with a volunteer service organization called, Friend-2-Friend. F2F provides service opportunities building friendships through service.

We are in need of extra helping hands this Christmas season. We would like to invite all 5th grade and above children to join us for an evening of service at the Christkindlmarkt, held at This Is the Place Heritage Park. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 with a live Nativity beginning at 6 p.m. in the town center, followed by our service project starting at 7 p.m. at The Garden Place Barn. If you attend the Nativity, you will need to expect about a 10-minute walk to The Garden Place, please plan on being there by 6:50 p.m.

For our service project, we have invited 10 local charities to teach us about what they do in our community. In turn, we will present in-kind gifts to each organization that we collect and assemble that evening. Our goal is to provide over 2,000 essential kits to the different programs that we hear from that night including:

*Granite Education Foundation School Food Pantries, *Santa Sacks Granite School District, *Utah Schools Food Pantries, *Young Parent Program, *Toys for Tots, *Granite School District Refugee Center and Serve Refugee Connection, *The Road Home, *VOA Homeless Resource Center, and *The Ronald McDonald Home.

We are still in need of a few items if you would like to donate. You don’t need to donate to come serve on Nov. 29.

*New or used sleeping bags *Flash lights

*Cleaning supply’s for the cleaning kits.

*kitchen rags *sponges *liquid dish soap *cleanser

*cleaning spray *hand soap *laundry detergent

(We would need these items by Tuesday Nov. 28)
